I readily agreed to Master14 practising his home economics dish thinking, incorrectly it turned out, it’d be nice to enjoy a stress free night of someone else cooking for the family.

Found this out after school today – Master11’s teacher recently received a letter from one of our other kids.
I picked the girls up from school today when the usually rather pleasant and chatty drive home took a turn down an unexpected laneway.
It’s such a proud parenting moment when you learn your kid is setting aside her own schedule to help a friend in need.
How long were these holidays? How many months? Because really, that’s the only way to explain how poorly we just did at the first day back to school this term.
I think I now know why the school day finishes at 3pm.
